Boards for the living room

Brag Wire boards are Raspberry Pi–driven RGB LED matrix scoreboards. They sync with your group so scores, the ticker, and room energy show up on the wall — not just in a phone.

Brag Wire is not intended for gambling — friendly picks, bragging rights, and tracking with friends. No real money is placed, held, or paid out through Brag Wire.

Live scores

Game pages update as scores move so the room can follow without unlocking a phone.

Group ticker

A dedicated ticker lane scrolls picks activity, reactions, and standings cues while the main page stays stable.

Team colors & win chance

Matchups can render in team colors with win-probability styling for at-a-glance game feel.

Popups

Big moments can take over the panel briefly — graded results, reactions, and alerts — then return to the board page.

How the board works

Facts from the Pi agent and display renderer — not marketing inventions. Anything still rolling out is marked coming soon.

What it shows
Live scores, a group ticker, team-colored matchups, win-probability cues, popups for big moments, and themed board pages. My Stuff on the Pi, photo messages, and live camera are coming soon.
Panel sizes
Flexible panels (default SM16380SH class) commonly run as 128×64 tiles; a typical wide board is 256×64 (two wide). Rigid RUL6024 panels are 64×32 tiles and are often chained to 128×64. Multi-panel walls (W×H of identical tiles) are supported in software.
Wi-Fi setup
On first boot the Pi opens a setup hotspot with a captive portal. Join the hotspot, choose your home Wi-Fi, optionally link an account, and the ticker starts. Panel type is stored in the Pi’s local config.
Tied to the app
The board pulls the same group feed the app uses — picks activity, scores, and reactions — so the wall and the phone stay in sync. A Group admin still approves live wagers and new members in the app.

Power on & join the setup Wi-Fi

The board broadcasts a setup network. Your phone’s captive-portal check usually opens the setup page automatically.

Connect home Wi-Fi & link

Pick your network, save, and link the board to the group account when prompted. The panel shows connected, then the ticker.

Watch with the group

Scores and ticker updates land on the wall while friends use the app. Hardware interest? Note it on the waitlist.
